Do you know how many lakes the town of Whistler has? There are FIVE main lakes within the municipality and all of them are along The Valley Trail! Each one has it’s own unique features, and all of them are super fun on a sunny day! Here they are, in order from south to north:
Alpha Lake

- Designated off leash dog park in one area – Arfa Park!
Nita Lake
- Dock
- Stocked with Rainbow Trout for fishing
- Small park with picnic tables
- Pebble beach
Alta Lake – There are a several parks around Alta Lake
Lakeside Park:
- Located on Lakeside Road
- A sandy beach
- Kids play area
- Picnic tables and BBQs
- A concession renting canoes and other watercraft (summertime only)
Rainbow Park
Rainbow Park is located on the west side of Whistler Valley. It’s a pleasant 20-minute bike ride along the Valley Trail from the Village, just off Alta Lake Road. Rainbow Park has lots of space and was the site of the historical Rainbow Lodge built by Whistler pioneer Myrtle Philip.

Barking Bay

Lost Lake

- Boat launch – a popular spot for wakeboarding
